The same objectives are held forth by the Photo-Voltaic Market Transformation Initiative (PVMTI) being promoted by the IEC and funded through World Bank. SSAEL has thus tendered its application for a US$ 4 million project, which will be routed through a consortium to leverage the strengths of various manufacturers and present to the consumer a range of benchmarked quality products to choose from off-the-shelf.

Since setting up an exclusive PV sales channel is not viable, SSAEL also envisages leveraging the strength of SSLPG’s much valued brand ‘Shakti Gas’ in its pursuit for gaining customer acceptance and goodwill. By putting together research & manufacturing with distribution & service strengths, SSAEL is on its way to redefining the solar energy scenario in India in times to come. And in the process, the Company will be creating an indelible intangible asset, which will soon become a standard term of reference for the industry – its brand name – Shakti Solar!
