This is an invitation to Gas Companies, Industry Associations, Standards Organisations, and Regulatory Authorities to participate in the EU-India Economic Cross-Cultural Program for the LPG/LNG sector in India. A program co-financed by European Commission for the Confederation of Indian LPG Industry.

The reasons for this invitation and the network:

• The Government of India is on the threshold of launching a regulatory authority for downstream petroleum industry. The Confederation of Indian LPG Industry with the EU-India network would help GoI define the scope and responsibilities of this.
• The adoption of European standards by India will result in better trade and increased opportunities for commercial activities, consulting services, equipment supplies and joint ventures.
• Evolution of standards and regulations for LPG/LNG in India will increase the utilisation of these energy resources and improve utilisation efficiencies. Specific in the areas of utilisation as a vehicle fuel, small LPG bulk installation, and storage - refrigerated, mounded and/or underground.
