Shri Shakti Cylinders - towards self reliance

The year was 1983. India was booming with LP Gas consciousness. The consumer was rapidly advancing towards this cooking medium, relinquishing kerosene and firewood. And only three Indian companies (entirely Government controlled) had the product to market.

Having identified the opportunity in manufacturing cylinders for the growing market the Indian oil companies were catering to, Shri Shakti laid its foundation with Shri Shakti Cylinders Pvt. Ltd. (SSCPL); a firm that has shipped over two million cylinders into the Indian markets to-date.

An ISO 9002 company SSCPL views its commitment to quality and adherence to safety standards and GMP very seriously. It is also among the first few Indian organisations to have signed the UNEP International Declaration for Cleaner Production Practices.
