Denmark being an acclaimed centre for technical brilliance in the Oil & Gas industry,
SSLPG entered into a 50/50 joint venture with Kosan Teknova Gas Appliances Pvt. Ltd.
(KTGA), Denmark. The name Kosan is synonymous with LPG equipment manufacturer, Kosan
Teknova, who are the pioneers and world leaders in manufacturing of LPG equipment's such
as Valves and Regulators. Under this joint venture, state-of-the-art Kosanova Valves and
Regulators would be manufactured in India and the manufacturing capacity of this plant
will be 1.5 million Valves per year and 9 million regulators per year starting 1999.
Similarly, in developing LP Gas based solutions for the automobile sector SSLPG has
partnered with the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune, with whom
India’s first 3-wheeler conversion kit has been pioneered in the country. ARAI is a
premier research, testing and statutory certification agency for the automobile industry
promoted by the industry itself. The Conversion Kits for Bajaj Auto-Rickshaw jointly
developed, have been field tested already through a Pilot Projects approved by the
Ministry of Surface Transport(MOST), AP High Court and the Transport Commissioner,
Government of A.P. In this Pilot Project 25 autos have together covered over one
million kilometer in actual city road conditions in Hyderabad, with excellent results.
The Transport Commissioner, Government of Andhra Pradesh who has monitored the
project has recorded "IT IS ESTABLISHED THAT LPG IS VERY POLLUTION FREE, COST
EFFECTIVE AND CUSTOMER FRIENDLY" . The technology is fully indigenous and
consists of vacuum operated gas-air mixing system and pumpless lubrication system (patents
