Let not your schooling interfere with your education, said the master humorist, Mark Twain. Rightly, Chirec is not a conventional school. In fact, it is an acronym for Children’s Recreation Centre!
Born out of a vacation session for children way back in 1989, which received excellent response, Chirec is today a multi-storeyed centre for learning spread over 5 acres in Kondapur, at the outskirts of Hyderabad. It provides a well-balanced learning environment for over 1300 children between 8 and 12, and is supplemented by Chirec Junior School for children between 3 and 7 (closer to the city in Jubilee Hills). A wide array of facilities - bolstered by a unique learning methodology - help children develop interests in particular fields and self-confidence as well.

Chirec is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the prestigious national regulatory authority for secondary education and its students are currently poised to enter class IX. It broadly focuses on teaching Inquiry Curriculum Areas (Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Nutrition), Physical Curriculum Areas (Sensory Development, Physical Development), Language Curriculum Areas (Languages Development,Literature, Pre-reading/writing) and Creative Curriculum Areas (Art, Music, Drama and Movement).
